INSPIRING JOURNEYS

Step by step, women in Kizinda are building brighter futures.

From bar work to a thriving food business at 17.

Kemi transitioned from bar work into a successful food business after receiving mentorship, entrepreneurship training, and startup support through AFLU. She now saves income weekly, supports her family, and employs another young girl in her growing business.

A mother of two before 19 — now running her own business.

With no stable income and overwhelming pressure to provide, Aisha’s life was a daily struggle. Through AFLU’s mentorship, financial literacy training, and startup capital, she launched a small roadside snacks business that grew into a reliable source of income — a quiet proof that opportunity, support, and trust make transformation possible.

Restoring Childhood: Alicious Back to School

She is a 13-year-old girl who was selling pancakes to support her household, including caring for her deaf mother. Through AFLU’s intervention, she was supported and returned to school, while her family continues to receive ongoing care and support.
